You may ask yourself why you don't see more Detroit Lions talk on this website. The answer is simple. There are plenty of websites out there where you can get your fill of speculation, strategy and rants about the Lions. We love our Lions, that's for sure, but let's be honest. At this point in Detroit Lions history, there's only one thing that gets us up before the crack of dawn on a Sunday morning, and that is THE ALMIGHTY TAILGATE.
Sure, we could go on and on about the owners, the coaches, the players, the boneheaded management, but it's all been done before. This site is dedicated exclusively to the Detroit tailgating scene and our passions for good beer, good music, good friends and great times.
So you won't find endless blogs here discussing possible draft picks, whether the Lions will win one game or eight, who should start at quarterback, runningback, right tackle. Let's focus on the good things in life and what we love to do.
We must give proper credit to the Lions however. If it wasn't for their horrific seasons during the past decade(s), we wouldn't have had the motivation to throw the most kick-ass parties we could conjure.
Necessity is the mother of all invention, and we needed a reason to keep enthusiastic about the football season. And after a few beers, crazy ideas start to sound good:
"Let's drag the foosball table to the lot."
"Let's build a stage and put a band on it."
"Hey, we really need a full-blown bar."
"Let's build a website and ask everyone to come to the party!"
And that's why you're here. You love the Lions, but you love the tailgate just a little bit more. It's something you can count on and something you can control. So if you see us in the lot, stop by and have a beer and burger, see a great local band, have a play on the foosball table, and talk some football with us.
