First-timers want the full Ford Field experience will enter the main entrance at the southwest gate. Once inside, continue to walk east along old St. Antoine Street and through the old Hudsons warehouse built circa 1920. Everyone from the Purple Gang, to Ella Fitzgerald, to John Lee Hooker has walked that street.

If you're in a hurry to get to your seat and don't have time for siteseeing, pick a gate and go in. There are many entrances and the wait generally isn't too bad.

The field sight-lines are great and the two video boards and JBL sound system are state-of-the-art.

Beer Line Tip:
If you see a line, keep going. There are plenty of beer vendors around and you can usually find a much shorter line in a relatively short distance. Beers can range from $5-$9 depending on size and kind.

Barthroom Line Tip:
Same as the beer line. If you see a line, keep going. There are plenty of pissers around the stadium, and chances are there's little to no line only 100 ft away.

Lions fans are generally benign but drunk. Opposing team's fans can expect some creative and sometimes vulgar ribbing and heckleing, but in general shouldn't expect any beers thrown on them or physical fights. To diffuse an agressive Lion, just say, "I heard Drew & Mike are going to sponsor cheerleaders..."Hope your visit to Detroit is a great time
