IS COMING TO DETROIT!
THE “DETROIT PRIDE” TO HOLD TRYOUTS SEPTEMBER 1, 2010
Detroit football fans have been asking and we are answering the call!
We are excited to announce the formation of the 2010 Detroit Pride Cheerleaders! Detroit Pride Cheerleaders, LLC, is a professional cheerleading organization that will be comprised of the finest group of young ladies who are not only beautiful and talented, but also committed to generating the enthusiasm our professional football fans have been asking for and deserve! The team will be choreographed by former Detroit Piston Automotion team member and owner of Big City Dance Center, Lisa Gilmore.
The Detroit Pride Cheerleaders will enhance the game day experience by performing at tailgate functions prior to each regular season Lions home game and will be inside the stadium at various locations cheering on their favorite professional football team!! The Detroit Pride Cheerleaders will also appear at charity functions, conventions, grand openings, trade shows, and other charitable and civic causes.
Auditions for the inaugural season of the Detroit Pride Cheerleaders will take place on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at L.A. Fitness in Royal Oak, located at 25352 Woodward Avenue. Registration begins at 7:30pm sharp! A $30 registration fee applies and is due upon registration. Those who pre-register by August 31st will receive a $5 discount on registration. Pre-register by emailing detroitpridecheerleaders@gmail.com. A confirmation email will be sent to you confirming your spot. Bring a 5x7 head shot and a valid drivers license or birth certificate to the Audition.
- Basic Requirements
-Auditions are open to all women at least 21 years of age and who have received a high school diploma or its equivalent. Dance experience is helpful but not required.
-Must live within a 50 mile radius of the downtown major stadiums
-Be available for (2) practices per week
-Be available for all (8) regular season football games (These will be paid performances)
- Attire for try-outs
-Spandex sports/dance top and spandex shorts/dance attire
-NO LOOSE FITTING CLOTHING
-Tennis Shoes or Dance shoes, no black shoes due to gym floors
-Wear hair and make-up as if you were preparing for a game!
Media are invited and welcome to attend the auditions but are encouraged to contact Andrea Wilamowski prior to September 1, 2010 as space is limited.
Auditions are closed to spectators other than media.
