Eastern Market:
King of the Q Rib Cook-Off
The Eastern Market is proud to host the inaugural "King of the Q" Rib Cook-Off on Sunday, Oct. 26th. Click on the buttons to the left for rules and entry form.
Cooking begins at 9am judging is at 11am. This event will be judged on Taste, Tenderness and Presentation. Show proof of any Eastern Market purchase and receive 1 point towards total score.
First Place: Trophy and $500 cash
Second Place: Trophy and $300 cash
Third Place: Trophy and $200 cash
The judges will be located under Shed 2 of the Eastern Market. You can setup at any time that is convenient to you, and you can park wherever you'd like. If you want to be close to the judges, one of the outlying lots surrounding Shed 2 will be ideal (Lots 2NW, 2NE, 2SW or 2 SE). You will, however, be asked to pay the $30/parking space fee the market charges on game day.

Judging begins 10:30am
It's not only the Lions that are scary this season! We're holding a costume contest at the South Stage of the market and giving away prizes for "Best Lions Themed Costume," "Scariest Costume," and "Best Overall Costume." Prizes include gift certificates to Lover's Lane. and passes to Erebus, the world's largest haunted house.
Winners determined by crowd applause. Competition begins at 10:30 am at the South Stage in Tailgating Lot 1 of the Eastern Market.

"The most electrifying tribute to Black Sabbath in the Universe!" Banned From E.A.R.T.H. is dedicated to reproducing the sound and visual essence of Black Sabbath during the 70's when they were in their prime!
In case anyone drops dead of fright, there will be a hearse and a casket at the tailgate party to expedite your burial. Or, we might just drop you in the river. Either way, more beer for us!
