Hardcore Tailgating

Well, winter is here, and this is the time of year that separates the men from the boys and the women from the girls. This is what all tailgate professionals prepare for here in the north. Wind, snow, ice and freezing temperatures. It's a safe bet we won't have any tender-foot Dallas fans show up at the tailgate, but if they do, we'll welcome them with beer, shots, and enough heaters to melt Antarctica.

Coney Dogs!
I tearfully regret to report that this will be the Ambassador's last tailgate party of the 2007 season. The December 23rd game vs the Chiefs just doesn't fit in to his Christmas travel schedule. Since the Ambassador is a certified coney dog addict, Chef Al Poe will be cooking mountains of dogs and a vat of coney sauce, but we need people to bring the buns and onions. The Ambassador will supply the fries, onion rings, poppers and whatever else we decide to dump in the fryer.

Check out the recipe section for an article about coney dogs, and the Ambassador's beer batter recipe for the onion rings.

Special Guest
Our good friend Mark from the Atwater Block Brewery will also be with us to enjoy the brews. So if you ever wanted to know exactly what goes on at Detroit's number one brewery, this will be your chance to get educated.
