Cornhole Tournament:
Winners Meet Roy Williams

This Sunday, November 4th, we're holding a cornhole tournament. Winners receive VIP Meet and Greet Passes to the Roy Williams autograph session on Monday, November 5th at the Somerset Collection Mall in Troy, MI from 6:00-8:00 PM courtesy of Signature Collectables.

Tournament registration will begin at 9:00 am in Tailgating Lot 1 of the Eastern Market. Two-man teams. Think you've got what it takes? If you do, you'll be meeting Roy Williams!

Tampa Bay Tailgate Photos Up

Thanks to everyone who makes this party happen game after game, and special thanks to the band Slight Return for keeping the heads bobbing and doing a fantastic job. Al, Bob, Brenda, Todd, Joe, Fred, Lisa and Steve always go above and beyond and deserve special recognition for all the work they put into this. And the most thanks goes to my Kimmie, who puts up with my obsession.

Also, a very special thanks to the Atwater Block Brewery for helping us showcase the best of the best in Detroit. Check them out. They have a large selection of great beers.

Next tailgate November 4th vs Denver
There is no band scheduled to play the tailgate at this time, but rest assured, everything else will be there, tons of food, beer, the foosball table and tunes. Maybe we'll have us some "Gridiron Heroes" karaoke.

Third Annual Detroit Tailgate Chili Cook-Off
November 18 vs the Giants. All entries welcome. Cool prizes. Details to come.

Detroit Tailgate Championship
Send us your photos and tell us about your awesome tailgate party. We want to see the best parties in Detroit and reward the most kick-ass tailgaters with the title of "2007 Detroit Tailgate Champions." You'll get a trophy, t-shirts and other cool stuff we haven't even thought of yet. Hell, we might even show up at your place with a couple barrels of Detroit's finest brew.

The Beery Sanders Bus

We'd like to welcome the arrival of The Beery Sanders Bus to the Eastern Market lots. Co-owned by Matt Sage, Kim Sage, Eric Sage and Matt Grimes, this church bus has gone to tailgate heaven and will embark on its' maiden voyage during the next home game vs Tampa Bay.

Check out their cool website that will document the process of building a true tailgating machine over the next year. The bus is "brand new," and it'll be fun to see it evolve from game to game.

It Really Was the Biggest Party in the NFC North

Wow, what a day! Beautiful weather, a rocking band, tons of food, gallons of beer, friends, family, Theo Spight singing and a LIONS WIN! Thanks to HELICON, Theo and all our friends new and old who help make the party happen.

We'd like to thank the Bears fans that we met for being such great folks. No matter how badly I hate the Chicago Bears, I can't help but like their fans. They know how to have fun and can put down some beers. How can you not like that? And by the way, sorry your team sucks! GO LIONS!
