"Chili Chocolate Chili"
In a unanimous decision by the judges, the Third Annual Detroit Tailgate Chili Championship went to the team of Rob and Georgea and their hearty concoction of beef, chili peppers and chocolate, three things that always go together.
This was the first champion to be determined by judges as the previous two cook-off champs were crowned by a popular vote amongst the tailgaters. The popular vote is always a nice way to win, but we felt that there were too many uncontrollable variables for it to be a true indication of the best chili.
We did however offer prizes to the hottest chili and most popular chili. They each received a cool new football card game invented by our friends at QuickCountFootball.com. The winners were:

Al definitely had the most creative presentation by serving his meatball/shrimp chili from a portable commode with a plunger! Mmmm... chili entry #2 never tasted so good.
