The inaugural Detroit Tailgate Chili Cook-Off featured ten contestants in a heated battle for possession of the coveted Chili Champion jersey and bragging rights for the entire year.
Fred "Boom-Boom" Hannah's "Venison Texas Red Chili" was hands-down the crowd favorite and featured large tasty chunks of venison in a thick and spicy tomato sauce. The uniqueness of this chili put the other entries to shame.
Congratulations to Fred for becoming the first ever Detroit Tailgate Chili Champion. See you next year!
